• As we went through the back door, I heard him say my name softly. It had been an agonizing few moments spent making the decision -- nothing was going to dissuade me from following through with it. I didn't look at Cody, just led him through the house and up the stairs to my bedroom. As I went through the door, a single lucid thought forced its way to the surface. I wasn't on the pill, had no IUD, and certainly had no condoms as it had been nearly twenty years since I'd had sex... or even wanted to have sex. Something had changed, and I'd face that when I needed to.
